Gambling Winners

You may be surprised to learn that the biggest gambling winners are not the ones you might think. Most people think that the big winners, especially in Las Vegas, are the gambling professionals, but they are not. More often than not, it's the normal general gamblers who win the largest prizes. This is the reality.

We all know that when it comes to nightlife, and casinos, Las Vegas is the place to be. Every day these casinos are stuffed with people trying their luck in every game. A group of people will try their luck on the roulette table; another crowd will take a shot on the slot machines, while those who have skills will try to apply their strategies at blackjack or poker.

From out of those hopeful groups of people, some turn out to be the lucky winners. Actually, no one will ever know when will be their time to hit the jackpot. The larger jackpots in Las Vegas begin at around $7M and this figure might even increase.

Around March of 2003 a lucky 25-year-old guy won a jackpot prize amounting to forty million dollars. This is the biggest ever won in the history of Las Vegas casinos. The lucky guy came from Los Angeles, and he was only visiting in Las Vegas. The purpose of his visit was to attend the NCAA basketball tournaments. Who would have thought that, just by spending a night at a Las Vegas casino, and by merely trying his luck, would make him a multi-millionaire?

Talking about being lucky in casino games, there is a man named Elmer Sherwin, 92-years-old, who has won big twice. His second jackpot prize money was $21,000,000, which he swore to donate to the Hurricane Katrina victims. His first jackpot prize money, $4,600,000, was used by Elmer to travel around the world, along with his wife.

Another lucky winner of $9M was Amy Nishimura. She was simply having a vacation in Las Vegas at that time.

Aside from these lucky normal people, there are still many others who have made their lives change by winning fortunes from casino gambling, while other have earned large amounts, as well.

Brenda J. won a $6M jackpot. She strongly believes that winning is based purely on luck, because "You will never know".

One lucky guy from New York, Ralph R., won $320,449. The day that he was going to tell his wife the good news, his wife was giving birth at that time - nobody can be luckier than he. He noted that he was blessed twice.

All of them agree to one thing: Winning, and losing, are all part of the bigger picture of casino gambling.
